DIE GÜTERBAHNEN

We are DIE GÜTERBAHNEN. We count almost 100 private, regional and international companies associated with rail freight transport as our members. Every day we work innovatively and passionately to convince our customers to transport goods on climate friendly railways. Die GÜTERBAHNEN were initiated by the Netzwerk Europäischer Eisenbahnen e.V. (NEE). 

Die GÜTERBAHNEN have the main goal to increase the transport of goods via railroads.  

We commit ourselves to the political goal to increase the market share of rail freight transport in 2030. We are convinced that climate friendly freight-trains are the backbone of todays and future freight transport. Therefore, we are committed to fair intramodal competition on railroads just as fair intermodal competition between railroads and roads. Adequate political decision-making combined with our members’ flexible service we can achieve the 25% goal – and go even further.
