About the event
APTA’s annual Rail Conference brings together leaders and specialists from every rail mode, including urban, commuter, intercity and high speed. The program focuses on technology, operations, maintenance, safety and security, planning, finance and capital projects, with technical tours and a products and services showcase that highlights current innovations.
The 2026 edition takes place in Baltimore from 28 June to 1 July. APTA’s future meetings page lists the city, dates and host hotel, and internal program timelines reference the same schedule for the Leadership APTA class.

APTA also runs the biennial TRANSform Conference and EXPO in Chicago in October 2026. That is a separate event with different dates and format.
